Steenland will be responsible for leading PMSI’s informatics function, a major area of investment for the company in 2009. A skilled operational executive with extensive informatics and process improvement experience, Steenland brings a history of experience in the healthcare and workers’ compensation markets to PMSI. Most recently, he served as Executive Director for Coventry Health Care of Nevada. Previously he served in positions of progressive responsibility for CIGNA, including National Director of Utilization Management and Vice President of Intracorp External Operations. Maurice received his MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Corporate Finance from Western Michigan University.
