Marion Luna Brem Delivers Keynote at Prince George's County SBI 5th Anniversar

Largo, MD – Prince George’s County Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, David Byrd, joined the Economic Development Corporation to celebrate the Small Business Initiative’s fifth anniversary at their Annual Awards Breakfast on Friday, February 26, 2010, at the Camelot of Upper Marlboro. The keynote speaker, Ms. Marion Luna Brem, embodied the essence of this year’s theme, “Inner Glow, Outward Success: Small Businesses Fulfilling Their Purpose”. Her keynote address challenged local business owners to reach beyond their fears and recognize their inner glow, as she referenced her own life challenges.

 

The Small Business Initiative (SBI) honored outstanding Prince George’s County individuals that have benefited from their services: Yanic Hardie – Hardie Industries, Inc., Outstanding Female CEO of the Year; Louis H. Gilford Jr. – The Banneker Group, Outstanding Male CEO of the Year; Charlie M. Partridge – PEPCO, Dedication & Commitment Award; and Congressman Steny H. Hoyer, Outstanding Congressional Award.
