The NAHRO eProcurement Marketplace is an electronic gateway of procurement information. It is a search engine for contracting officers, a marketing tool for small and large firms, and a “link” to procurement opportunities. It makes it easier for our Housing Authority members to find you—and conduct business with you. The playing field is leveled as the electronic system makes it as easy for small businesses, as it is for large businesses, to respond to bid opportunities.
The marketplace was designed to allow our Housing Authority members easy access to your up-to-date company information. The buyers will all be located all over the country, however, vendors can be from anywhere in the world.

Click on Sign Up Now -Vendors on the left hand side menu, and follow the instructions.
When you get to the Communication and Service Level area of the registration, choose dedicated and standard (or one of the other communication levels for additional bid access). Then on the next page, select a state, and click on Display Agencies, then choose one of the agencies listed to receive their bid notifications via email. This way there is no cost to be registered as a dedicated vendor to one of our Housing Authority members.
If you elect to respond to any bids from agencies that presently utilize their e-Procurement Marketplaces, any transaction fees (one percent or less) would apply only to the winning bidders, based on the bid award amount itself. Be sure to include that one percent (or less) in your bid response as the agency expects that. The majority of agencies utilizing their eProcurement marketplaces are paying the transaction fees, so in most instances there are no fees associated with your participation within this system.
Once your company is registered, you are listed on the database for all registered buying entities to view your information and contact you via phone, fax, mail, or email, as not all bids are published on the Marketplace because of HUD purchasing guidelines. You may be contacted for written or verbal bids by agencies based on your service level and geographic location. The agencies have the ability of searching by commodity code and service level to determine who to contact when they choose not to use the direct sealed bid publishing capability of the software.
