William Gillett Named New Dean
For SNHU’s School of Business
Manchester, N.H. (Feb. 5, 2010) – William Gillett has been named the new dean for Southern New Hampshire University’s School of Business. He will begin June 1.
Gillett most recently served as President for RiverStone Resources LLC and its affiliated companies. He was previously the Managing Director of RiverStone’s European operations based in London and had originally joined as RiverStone’s general counsel. He began his career as a lawyer, working both in Detroit and subsequently as counsel at a major New York-based law firm.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to be a part of the impressive growth and development of an important institution in and for New Hampshire,” said Gillett.  “I look forward to working with the talented faculty and dedicated university community in preparing our students to meet the challenges of our increasingly global economy and to promote stronger partnerships between the university and the New Hampshire, New England and international business communities.”
Gillett holds a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a law degree from the University of Michigan.

Gillett serves on the board of various organizations including New Hampshire Public Radio, the New Hampshire Writers’ Project, Mount Saint Mary Academy, the International Institute of Boston, and most recently the New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts.
He resides in Manchester with his wife and four children.
